This was taken just before summer began when I was riding my bike through an old neighbourhood in town, De Jordaan. I saw the red and white stripes against the blue sky and thought "there's a good shot in there somewhere to post on some occasion relating to the USA". Patience isn't always a virtue, but in this case it was!
